Synopsis

The Wealthy Barber Returns is a very unusual financial-planning book. It's humorous. It's insightful. It's fast-paced. Dave Chilton's unique writing style takes the intimidation out of the normally very dry subject of financial planning. Focusing on not only what to do, but also what not to do, Dave mixes wit and wisdom to help readers learn the keys to financial success.

    Typical Sequel

Not bad, but definitely not as good as the first one. It's good on details, but Chilton's tone of a conversation didn't really translate well enough. I recommend going through the first one (where is it on Kobo anyways?) before taking this one on to give you a basic idea on what you're reading. Still a buy though.

    Good Common Sense Advice

Well written book that makes a sometime mundane topic interesting.

Exactly as he describes, this is a financial planning book that is about changing your mindset, not an instruction manual for how much to put aside. David Chilton takes a narrative approach for explaining why planning ahead is important, and surprisingly answered many questions such as whether you should save or pay down debt first.

    A great book on finances

I'm not a fan of accounting and finances but this book helped me find my inner accountant. Paved with funny quotes and remarks, this book helped me understand more about the financial world. Many thanks to the author.
