    The French Admiral

I enjoyed the book. It is well written, seems authentic in the shipping details and language. I am of British Loyalist lineage and have an idea of Real conditions of the 1780's and appreciate the relatively unbiased story, unlike most American novelists who use a somewhat twisted view of conditions and reasons for it. I've read two other of the series and will continue to read more.

    The French Admiral

A very good sequel to the first Lewrie novel continuing a unique take of a rapscallion serving in HM Royal Navy of the 18th century
