    Thought provoking

The author has obviously done a lot of research on his subject and this is evident in the depth of his writing. I would hope he has already put a patent on the sea control carrier concept; a maritime architect would love the idea. In all a very deep subject that will make any reader wonder how far off something like this is from happening. On the subject of writing style, I am not so satisfied. People do not talk the way they write. This makes for frustration when trying to get to the nub of a protracted conversation and tends to make the reader (ok-me) want to skim over what may be a crucial phrase impacting later on. Overall, not bad and enough to get me to buy the other two books in the trilogy.

    Will make You Think

A sometimes onerous writing style but a thought provoking story line. The rush over the last 15 years to bank the "peace dividend" could easily set the seeds for something like this to grow. Looking forward to the remainder of the series!
