Synopsis

A New York Times and USA TODAY bestseller about a good girl dangerously drawn to the ultimate bad boy.

The new Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.

Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby wants—and needs—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

I truly enjoyed reading this book. The only reason I did not give it five stars (would have given it 4.5 if could) was the story line. Girl with bad past, bad boy meets "good girl". Obviously this has been written about over and over again. But who doesn't have a story? It's in how you tell the story that I love about this book. What makes a great book?. You find a connection that you can relate to. That's why we love books; that's why we love movies. It's always one of the two. You want to be that girl, or you are that girl. For me, I am the girl. A secret you can't tell, don't want to tell but in the end we are only human and have to trust those that we love with the secrets of our past. That's my relationship with the characters in this book. You never want to be judged for things that have happened in the past. You have to learn to trust your heart and that is the hardest thing in the world. I definitely cannot wait to pick up the next book!

This is Twilight all over again without the vampires and wolves - just couldn't put it down. Check out Walking Disaster which is the same story but from the bad boy's perspective.

Mad for Mad Dog Travis Maddox

I absolutely love this book!!!!!! I originally bought the book because it had a butterfly on the cover and I love butterflies. I also enjoy a good romance novel but had never read a YA Romance novel before. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The story line was also very relatable for me since I had just been in college. However I did not meet anyone like Travis Maddox there. I TOTALLY WISH I HAD!! He is macho, hot, sexy, dreamy, strong, swoon worthy, bad boy and so much more. I fell head over heels in love with Travis and Abby in this book. Highly recommend it to everyone and got me hooked on all things Jamie McGuire!

    Loved Loved Loved!

OMG!! I absolutely loved this book! I couldn't put it down. I laughed and cried, along with the characters. This is definitely one of my favorites. I cannot wait for Walking Disaster.
