Abomination. The Preacher. The Golden Path- humanity herded through a tunnel vision for survival. Herbert turns Dune on it's head, and like a tornado, wherever it touches down there is chaos. The Dune History and pre-history - from Dune to Sisterhood of Dune - is not one to be missed.

A fine wrap up to the initial trilogy of Dune books as well as an introduction to the next great cycle that turns our attention Duncan now becoming one of the central characters rather than an incidental throwaway.

If you're never read any of the Dune series, this is the second book, and it's absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Sci-Fi, political intrigue and elaborate universes.

I haven't read this book for a long time, but it is one that I consider a keeper, along with Dune, Dune Messiah and God Emperor of Dune. Frank Herbert's universe is one that I revisit and enjoy over and over.
