    Good Book

I read this book a couple of years back. It provides a pretty detailed explanation of the mortgage crash and the roles played by banks, underwriters and investors. The level of detail sometimes gets heavy, but the author is explaining one of the most convoluted financial knots I've ever tried to learn about. The list of names and how these different individuals and organizations is scary. It gives you a new filter to look at the entire credit crisis. I recommend it highly.
