Synopsis

In the old world shadows of Providence, Rhode Island, Nina Grey finds herself the center of a war between Hell and Earth.

Struggling with her father’s recent death, Nina meets Jared Ryel by chance…or so she believes. Although his stunning good looks and mysterious talents are a welcome distraction, it soon becomes clear that Jared knows more about Nina than even her friends at Brown University. When questions outnumber answers, Jared risks everything to keep the woman he was born to save—by sharing the secret he was sworn to protect.

When her father’s former associates begin following her in the dark, Nina learns that her father is not the man she thought he was, but a thief who stole from demons. Searching for the truth behind her father’s death, Nina stumbles upon something she never expected—something Hell wants—and only she holds the key.

Book & Audio Book ROCKED!
November 9th, 2015
I absolutely LOVED PROVIDENCE!!!!! Jared is my new favorite book boyfriend. He is perfect, sexy, charming, strong, protective, devoted, lethal... The complete swoon package!!! I thoroughly enjoyed the book and can't wait to start Requiem. *Audio Book Review* This was my second audio book and I think I am forever spoiled by this narrator. Carly Robins did a fabulous job with all characters and voices. Her voice kind of reminded me of Kristen Bell so I pictured Anna from Frozen for Nina. Loved it!!! I couldn't wait to get in the car and listen! I often sat in the driveway at home or in a parking lot just listening once I arrived somewhere. I hope she does Requiem and Eden too!

Good!

But not great...a lot of breaks between any kind of suspense or plot...but that could be where it's more of a love story, and that's ok. All in all was decent, but not spectacular. Not sure if I'm interested enough to stay with the series.

LOVED IT!

I had a few tiny issues with Providence, as in background information on the characters but nothing to dwell on. I loved the romance of Jared and Nina and the protectiveness of Claire and the friendships and family's that are formed! I cannot wait to start the next book in the Providence series. Overall Jamie McGuire killed it again!!!

A beautiful romance

What a great read it took me on a journey filled with heartbreak and pure joy. I ocasionally wanted to reach through the pages and slap Nina or at least give her a good shake. Jamie McGuire writes an entertaining book that keeps you guessing and gives you beautiful characters that you just want to get to know better. The side characters make this just that much more enjoyable. We have feisty Claire and determined Ryan and I'm so looking forward to see what happens to them just as much as I want to read more about our ain characters Nina and Jared

It was ok, nothing special. Average book. Luckily I had read Beautiful Disaster first, if I hadn't, and read Requiem I would have been really disappointed. But saying that the book was ok.

I loved this book - romance with a twist of the supernatural - wonderful combination. My favorite books are ones that I can't put down until I'm finished them - and this is definitely one of them. I have already downloaded Requim and Eden and I can't wait to read them!
