THE #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media—as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents—the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter—but is he really a killer?

Great story. A little slow start but once you're into the book it's a page turner. Great twist. Worth the read.by Tara on January 22, 2015

A bit of a slow start, but after a couple of chapters in, I could barely put it down. Some messed up characters, good twists. The ending was totally unpredictable. Would have loved a different ending but at the same time really liked how unpredictable it was.by Rochelle on December 17, 2014

Easy to follow, but a very surprising ending. I am anxious to see the movie. Suspense until the end. Would recommend.by Madeleinel on January 20, 2015

Don't waste your time
Everyone went crazy for this book and i simply cannot understand why. It was well written, the author is a good writer. However, the plot line was too disturbing to enjoy this novel. The time spent reading this book is time in my life i will never get back.by carly on April 03, 2015

Makes a better movie
Flynn's writing style is so cinematic, you wonder why she didn't choose to be a filmmaker instead.by Miranda on November 19, 2015
