Set in Victorian London with char-acters real and imagined, The Map of Time is a page-turner that boasts a triple play of intertwined plots in which a skeptical H. G. Wells is called upon to investigate purported incidents of time travel and to save lives and literary classics, including Dracula and The Time Machine, from being wiped from existence.

What happens if we change history? Félix J. Palma explores this question in The Map of Time, weaving a historical fantasy as imaginative as it is exciting—a story full of love and adventure that transports readers to a haunting setting in Victorian London for their own taste of time travel.

This book is the most amazing rewrite of history I have come across. It has brought a richness to a world many of us think we know all about because we have read H.G. Wells and his contemporaries but we know nothing like this. And as such I know my review will fall short of the wonder this book really is. It is written so well that it is for everyone unlike some of the books it is grouped with like the rewrites of Jane Austen which add zombies and sea monsters to bring in a newer audience, this book has no need to go that far it uses real life and H.G. 's the Time Machine to bring forth all this mind blowing narrative.(Don't get me wrong I love them too but I can't exactly share them with my Grandmother)And when I say I couldn't put it down I don't mean I was reluctant to stop reading every time I had to I mean I read the whole book in three days and did next to nothing but read it is that good. So do yourselves a favor and read this book. I just wish more of Felix J. Palma's works were published in English.
