Synopsis

I struggle with mornings, my first waking hours I feel like a zombie. However, the tips and examples in this book are very doable and I'm finding that I am more productive and proactive after applying some of the principles.

It does help to have a well-planned day, with a firm purpose in mind. Planning each day is ideally done at the onset. This book provides a tool to systematize planning for the day to ensure that you get things done. Though reading it might seem simplistic, when you're done, you may realize that such morning habits do contribute to a lot, in the long-term.

It's simple. If you want to be successful you have to do successful things. And this lays that recipe out quite simply and leaves just enough to imagination so that you can adapt and personalize the plan. Worth the quick read.

I've already had the thought of doing exercises early in the morning. I am just unmotivated to do it. However, after reading this book, there is no excuse not to wake up to do something beneficial for me in the long run.

Inspiring book with a clear message

We all know early birds get more warms. But how those early birds manage to get more warms? This book tells you the secret of "how" to become one of those early birds, which is lucrative and succesful, know how to plan their days and life ahead. I loved reading this book. The author definitely knows how to communicate acrooss her message with audience clearly. I have to also admit that it was inspiring enough and shall try the routine just like other audiences. :)

A quick help in fixing your life

Are u feeling that you don't have much time because you're very busy : hop on and off for one meeting/project to another in your office, sitting your baby, preparing breakfast for your husband and children, doing laundry, and etc. Are you always in a rush each morning? Are you thinking that morning is a madcap in weekdays? There's a research saying that most people even if they have arrived in the office at an early morning, they start to focus on their job after 9 am. There are too many distractions. Successful people wake up each day at early morning and they do excercise first time in the morning. As they think doing excercise can give them more stamina and refresh their mind from their stressful job, they put excercise as their top priority. They said that whatever your priority was, do it at the very first time in the morning. A single parent who also has a bright career once said that she didn't have much time to be spent with her child. She was feeling upset with this. She tried to go back home earlier but she found that she's so tired so she couldn't make a quality time with her child. Then with her self-motivation and willpower, she tried to remanage her time. She wrote her activities she did everyday then she analysed which part of her activities can be lessen, or make them disappear. She shocked finding that 168 hours in a week were spent in unefficient ways. Then she thought she need to renew her life. How? Read this book then you'll find the answer...

I liked the simplistic approach of the author in penning a rather 'less thought about' subject. The examples and anecdotes were inspiring and encouraging. The suggestions provided for actions seems very practical. I am persuaded to give the ideas shared by Laura a good try. Thanks.

This book was just an introductory and not a detail about the topic. It missed a lot of topics related to the title for instance a guide on how to wake up early, how to make it a habit and how to deal with fatigue or tiredness caused by morning exercises.

The thing I've learned about 'self-help' books is they generally restate the same point over and over. This book is short, to the point and if applied could certainly improve your day to day wellbeing. Well worth the read and has left me questioning how I spend my mornings.

There are some thoughts and examples of how to make use of early morning. Workout, reading, working, answering email, family... A lot of activity you can do more efficiently than you strain the last hours in the late night. People like me way above 50 rarely look back for improving our life until the day you are forced to make change. Not really an overhaul or makeover of your life, you just want to know if you can make change and have other options or even opportunity of experiencing new way of life.

Yes, The book's contents are not new to many of us, but how many of us are still having the same old problem. Blame getting late to sleep because of many things need to be done at night, therefore hard to get out of the bed in the morning. Short and easy book to read, and handy to carry around to keep reminding us that we can do it. Willing to change and building the habit are most important. Let's do it.
