The Time Travelers' Chronicles
The caves were supposed to be haunted, but Alex didn’t believe any of that. It was the first day of summer vacation, and no frightening legend about an Indian burial ground could keep him from adventure. Even though two boys had gone missing in the caves fifteen years before, Alex dragged his sister, Valerie, along with their cousins, Jason and Meghan, to the caves. In the early summer heat, the caves begged to be explored.
While wandering in the underground caverns, they come upon a book. How could they have guessed the stories were true—that a spirit really did live in the caves and that the book they found was not a toy? By tampering with the book belonging to the Spirit of the Cave, they have changed the course of history.
When the book opens to page 1912, the children are cast into the faraway past to the maiden voyage of the ill-fated Titanic. They must fix the mess they’ve made of history, but in order to do so, they have to locate the book, which is lost somewhere on the ship. If they find the book, they’ll repair the fabric of time and find a way home. If they don’t, they may go down with the ship!
