Comprehensive, clear, and practical. I intended to go back to technical writing after a long break and needed something to refresh my knowledge, and I was glad to have come across this book. It covers all major aspects of a tech writer's job and a little more. It is very well structured and written in a beautifully clear language with every word relevant to the book's topics. It is also very practical with a lot of trully useful information from a person with hands on experience. You can find specific advice on some difficult to handle areas. For example, there is a formula to calculate the time required to produce a user manual. And it goes beyond its own content with a lot of references to other sources such as books, websites, organisations you can use to master and expand your professional skills. I would definitely recommend it to anyone new or returning to the field.
