Synopsis

I’ve wanted my brother’s best friend, Leo Santoro, for too many years to count.

No matter what I do, he won’t confront the attraction that burns between us.

It’s time to put him behind me once and for all.

I have no choice but to call his bluff.

And then I will walk away.

The last woman I should want is my best friend’s baby sister, Jillian Banks.

No matter what I do, she won’t ignore the attraction that burns between us.

It’s time she learns the real me.

The only promise I can make is that her fantasies are no match for reality.

And then I’ll watch her walk away.

    Good...Just not quite for me

I read the first book in this series, and I didn't think about that much while reading this book because I didn't really remember that I read it, and the fact that this book seems to take place before the events of the first book; it must have thrown me off, so as I was reading this book I was thinking of what I'd say in this review and what I'd rate it, and as I was rating this book I noticed I gave the first book a 3 rating as well, so I decided to re-read what I wrote about the first book, and I found that I was going to start this review in a very similar fashion! Something along the lines of this just wasn't really for me, and how I didn't really gel with the main female lead. I guess this series just isn't for me. I didn't really like Jillian, and as I read I like to root for and want to stand up for the main character, and I just couldn't with Jillian. She came off as somewhat bratty to me, and I felt like she needed to mature a lot. Within the first few pages I already didn't like much about her, the fact that her idea of looking her best is to look like a high priced escort, that she plays jealousy games, and that she wants one man, but is willing to sleep with some other random guy she meets just that night. I'm all for women being their women, but I don't like skeezy-ness, and I got that from Jillian. I did like her artistic nature, and I wish there was a bit more of that, so she could've seemed more personable. I guess I liked Leo okay, and I'm alright with some kink in sex, so that wasn't really too much of a problem. Most of the sex scenes were pretty good, and they were of a BDSM nature. I really didn't like the scene with Brandon, and I really think that dropped it down a rating for me. I liked the scenes with Leo and Jillian outside of the sexual relationship, and I really loved the ending. Leo and Jillian can be really sweet with each other, and Jillian was slightly growing on me. Leo having to deal with some emotional turmoil was well written. I also really liked that this book is in dual perspectives. I don't think I'll read the next book in the series because I just don't like the female leads, and there's usually some type of sexual scenes that I don't like, and that can ruin a whole book for me. Also, Brandon's story is probably either next, or soon enough, and I am really not liking books that have the characters involved in BDSM clubs, so there's another negative for me. I do love the covers of these books though! It's a good read, and like I said I really enjoyed the ending. I think a lot of readers could enjoy this, you just have to not mind the things I listed. Also, you can read this as a standalone, this is a complete story, and I love that.

    Sinfully good

Sexy, memorable, and definitely sinful! After lusting after her brother's best friend Leo for years, Jillian lays down an ultimatum! It's now or never, BUT, be careful what you wish for! Leo has lots of layers but to get to those you have to be able to handle his control and dominance. Is Jillian ready and able to play in his dominant sexy world?? You definitely want to find out. I recommend this one.

    Sinfully good!

Sinful is book #2 in Jennifer Dawson's Undone series and lives up to its name! This book is smoking hot and not for the tame of heart. If you can read with an open mind then you will actually enjoy the love story that is beneath the world of BDSM that this book is based around. Jillian Banks has been lusting over Leo Santoro, her brother’s best friend, forever and she has decided it is time for them to make a move or move on. The perfect time for this ultimatum show down is her brother Michael's party. Dressed to kill, Jillian gives it everything she's got and when she decides maybe a little jealousy might sweeten the pot things get hot really quick! Leo has it bad for Jillian and that is why he has made a vow to never following their attraction. Leo is not your normal guy, he has a secret lifestyle and if Jillian found out she would run. Leo is heavily involved in the BDSM world and he feels that is something he could never bring Jillian into. When Jillian decides to move on to another guy, one that also happens to live the same lifestyle as him, Leo quickly decides to stop fighting temptation and see where this attraction will take them. As I stated earlier, this book will not be for everyone due to the BDSM nature. While this is the world this book is set around, the author does an excellent job of capturing the love story between these two as well. Readers will learn what makes Leo choose this type of lifestyle and gives you a better understanding in general to a world most of us will never venture into. I received an eARC of this book from the publisher for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinions stated are my own.

    In intriguing read

This is my first book by this author and I have to say that I went into this story without any expectations. I took a risk and went with it. To be honest, there were times where I got irritated by the characters and their actions but at the end I feel that the outcome is better than I'd hoped it to be. This story has a lot and I mean a lot of push-pull play, especially by Leo. Him and Jillian have been circling around each other for years and everytime she tries to convince him to give their relationship a chance, he declines. Leo is best friends with Jillian's brother, so that alone is his reason they should stay away from each other. But there is also his other, more darker reason that makes him believe she could handle being in a relationship with him. He's a dominant and knows Jillian has never gone that road in her sex life, so he thinks she is not submissive. It also includes some BDSM elements and what I liked the most, it sort of explains why both dom and sub choose that lifestyle and also what they gain from it. At times I felt really bad for Leo. He thinks he's making the right thing and because of his stubbornness he won't listen to anybody that tries to change his mind, even if that means he has to suffer for his actions. Years ago, he lost his twin brother and that hardened his heart. He loves his family and friends but won't let anyone come too close, because of his constant fear that he might lose them, like he did his brother. Well, there were also times, where he could have used a hard kick to pull his heat out of his a**. I felt like he had one foot out the door through most of the book and that got old real fast. At the end he finally realizes his mistakes and makes amends with Jillian. Now Jillian is a character that I liked. Yes, she had her moments but at the end she still got my respect. I loved how she never gave up on Leo and even after evetything that happened, she still found a will to forgive him. She's a strong feminine character, who loves to explore her sexuality. Once they get together, they really make a great couple. They both help each other to overcome their past demons and move on with their lives. I also liked the secondary characters and can't wait to read their stories. This book is not be for everyone, since it does include some BDSM scenes that you might not enjoy. Also, if you're not a fan of push-pull play, I think this book might not be for you. Overall is Sinful a great read I'd recommend. :)

    Sinful is sinfully wonderful!

Leo and Jillian have danced around each other for years. She is the younger sister of his best friend and she believes that is the reason he refuses to see her on a romantic level. Jillian has finally had enough of his pushing her away. At her brother’s birthday party she plans to make her move. One last time and then she walks away. Leo has a dark secret, one he shares with Michael, his best friend and Jillian’s brother. He knows that Michael wouldn’t want him near Jillian. In fact, Michael has ordered him to leave his sister alone. With a tragedy in his past, Leo isn’t willing to lose his friend and fights his attraction to Jillian. Jillian doesn’t leave him a choice but to admit the attraction and act on it. But when Jillian discovers his secret will he be able to keep her or will she run? Can they fight the past and move forward together? I enjoyed this book because the author portrayed a novice being initiated into the world of BDSM on a much tamer level than other books I have read. In this book, the reasons for the BDSM behaviors are explained and explored without truly plunging into the darkness of the lifestyle some follow. The author also builds the relationship of the characters so that the BDSM is a part of them but not the focus. This is book 2 in the Undone series by Jennifer Dawson. Book one is titled, “Crave”. I look forward to additions to this series. I received this book free for my honest opinion.
