Synopsis

Eighteen is hard.
And so is Mateo Alesci.
Hard to read, hard to predict, hard in every way that counts.
He wants things from me.
Dirty things, nasty things, forbidden things.
And I have to give in.
His attention is completely inappropriate, but I can’t say no.
The way he looks at me… the way he watches me through my bedroom window… the way he drags me deeper and deeper into his completely forbidden fantasy just… turns me on.
He knows it turns me on.
He holds all the power. He holds all the cards. He holds my entire future in his hands.
And I have to give in.
Because Mr. Alesci is my teacher.
And I need everything he’s offering.

Risky business
November 20th, 2015
They say that authors should write what they know. It can't be easy telling the story of your life, even if it isn't 100% true. "People want a little reality in their story. They want angst and drama. They want to read about the risk they never took, the fear they never felt and the victory when characters get it right.". There are some very relateable pieces to this story. For me, it brings back memories of some if the things I did in high school, some of my pieces didn't always turn out right, just like Shannon's didn't always turn out right, but isn't that what we strive for? Making decisions and living with those decisions, right, wrong or indifferent, every one of those decisions make us who we are today. "What is life without risk? And what is risk without fear?". Take your risk and live with the consequences, it might not get you your HEA, but you never know if you don't try. Great story, well written, relatable and some very hot steamy sex scenes that make me wish I had made riskier choices in my youth. Enjoy!

Intense coming of age story, that sucks you in!

5 seriously OMGosh stars!!! I love, love, love this book!!!! Shannon's journey, her troubled, messed up, welcome to 18 experience was so beautifully raw. I felt like I experienced every bit of this story with her. In so many ways I connected to her emotions and struggles. The connection with Mateo was off the charts HOT! I found myself holding my breath. I laughed, I wanted to cry, I wanted to hug her and tell her it would be alright eventually. I wanted to cheer for her when things went well. I suspected some of the twists along the way, but not all of them. I love the way JA Huss takes a story and throws twists and turns and emotional turmoil into a story and sucks you into it as if you could have lived it

Enthrallingly Sexy!!!
November 18th, 2015
Oh my freaking gawd! JA Huss, you amaze me! Eighteen has set a new bar for books about taboo romances. Mateo and Shannon were so hot, I was worried my tablet was going to go up in flames! All of the characters in this book were so real and gritty and complex and multi-faceted. I was completely hooked right from the beginning. Once I started reading this book, I quite literally could not put it down. Mateo is the epitome of a bad boy who just happens to be a really good guy. Shannon is a tough girl on the outside, but extremely vulnerable on the inside. These two need each other in ways even they don't understand, but getting to that point for them is no easy task, but no one does dark twisty romance like JA Huss, so just sit back and enjoy the ride. And, oh what a ride it is! Overall, I found this book to be compelling, sensual, intriguing, erotic, absorbing, romantic, and absolutely riveting. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an enthrallingly sexy read. * I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
