With a vibrant, fresh style Suzanne Woods Fisher brings readers into the world of a young Amish woman torn between following the man she loves--or joining the community of faith that sustains her, even as she questions some of the decisions of her elders. Her choice begins a torrent of change for her and her family, including a marriage of convenience to silent Daniel Miller. Both bring broken hearts into their arrangement--and secrets that have been held too long.
Filled with gentle romance, The Choice opens the world of the Amish--their strong communities, their simple life, and their willingness to put each other first. Combined with Fisher's exceptional gift for character development, this novel, the first in a series, is a welcome reminder that it is never too late to find your way back to God.

Fast pace, Christian fiction.

The author sure doesn’t waste any time getting into the plotline.Tragedy keeps occurring at every turn. I can see how this may seem like too much for some, but for me I was so lost in the story for this to bother me. I would recommend this book to not only fans of Amish fiction, but to those readers who enjoy a story with meaning. Even a non-religious person like myself could see the hope and wisdom in this book. I am looking forward to reading the other two books in this trilogy: The Waiting and the Search.

Secrets Eventually Exposed
May 27th, 2015
No matter what road you walk on secrets always find there way to the surface...God's love and timing are always perfect and things always go according to His way. I have always appreciated the way the Amish do not believe in revenge, it is very hard for us who are not of the Amish faith to follow that line of thinking but I know we would be much better off if we took that attribute and tried to live our life that way. We may be able to fool our friends /hide things from them...but eventually 'SECRETS' usually become exposed. Ps. You can never hide things from God ... HE KNOWS ALL!!!!!!

I really enjoyed reading this book. It makes the unbelievers to want to be believe. If we just wait on the Lord he will answer all of our prayers including wants and needs. God bless and love your neighbors just like God loves you.
