I am a beast.

A beast. Not quite wolf or bear, gorilla or dog but a horrible new creature who walks upright—a creature with fangs and claws and hair springing from every pore. I am a monster.

You think I'm talking fairy tales? No way. The place is New York City. The time is now. It's no deformity, no disease. And I'll stay this way forever—ruined—unless I can break the spell.

Yes, the spell, the one the witch in my English class cast on me. Why did she turn me into a beast who hides by day and prowls by night? I'll tell you. I'll tell you how I used to be Kyle Kingsbury, the guy you wished you were, with money, perfect looks, and the perfect life. And then, I'll tell you how I became perfectly . . . beastly.

A lovely story written in the fashion of Beauty & the Beast in a modern lifestyle that speaks its true words of acceptance, love, and hope.

Beauty of a Book

An excellent book, thought provoking, and shouldn't just be marketed to ladies! Way better than you expect, and very real in emotion and inter-person relationships. This book, while beastly, is authentically human.

I thought this book was pure amazing. I had watched the movie before even knowing there was a book, and the book just touched on so many more details that make the story more livid and exciting.

Beauty no pun intended

Saw the movie before finding out there was a book. Couldn't put it down. Although beauty by robin McKinley will always be my favorite retelling this is a close second. I recommend it highly!

I'm a huge fan when it comes to middle age, like lotr of Tolkien or some great horror like Dracula by Bram Stoker and I also enjoy Beauty and the beast and this is exactly that, but just set into today which makes it even better. The book is fantastic, also the movie by the same name so you probably all know the story even this one is a little different then true Beauty and the beast and I love it all the way, from start till the end. Really recommend you won't be sorry, but you must enjoy in stories like that, sometimes are real and true :)
