Synopsis

A career woman is looking for something more. In a bold move she quits a good job in London to go and live the dream in France. Find out what happens when that dream becomes a reality. Sunny weather, and good food and wine are there in spades, but there are downsides too. Making comparisons between her new life and her old one, she learns a lot about herself. Follow her exploits as she takes risks, faces down fears, and overcomes emotional setbacks. Meet a variety of interesting characters, some of whom have come to France to reinvent themselves, and others who simply remain a mystery. Issues become clouded when a guy from the New York advertising world arrives on the scene and she falls in love with him. They tour France together in a campervan, and a whirlwind of passion. Is it the real thing this time?

    A good read

This is a good light read. Gail's book gives a good trip through part of her life and paints a vivid picture of her surrounds both in London, then France. I enjoyed it. However the author was let down by the following: if chapter 25 actually opened to be read. The typos were horrendous and whoever is responsible for the typesetting come publishing of this book should be flogged. I wanted desperately to redone the typos. For a book I paid for, not happy.

    A New Life in France

Did not work as a novel for me Clunky and I struggled to find rapport with the characters. Might have worked as an auto biography or Travelogue but fell between 2 stones as a novel.
