Good book

Very easy to read and maybe a way of showing what happened between Margaret Hale and John Thornton, at end of book by Gaskell which shows they had a great and wonderful love and marriage. One book I may read again in years to come.

Enjoyable reading

The book is definitely enjoyable and easy to read. In my opinion it is a sort of very well written fan-fic. It is, certainly, very different from the style of the original one (by Elizabeth Gaskell) but I don't think the author, Trudy Brasure, had a mind to reproduce the original writing style. Mrs Gaskell, in her book, focused on the love story and on the socio-economic situation ( in a great way, in my opinion). Mrs Brasure writes, expecially, about John and Margaret in a very enjoyable way. In summary... if you are a big fan of Elizabeth Gaskell you will probably be disappointend with "A heart for Milton" but if you love the BBC drama "North and South" I am sure you will enjoy the reading.
