The eagerly awaited sequel to Lord of Chaos, The New York Times bestseller that swept the nation like a firestorm.

In this volume, Elayne, Aviendha, and Mat come ever closer to the bowl ter'angreal that may reverse the world's endless heat wave and restore natural weather. Egwene begins to gather all manner of women who can channel--Sea Folk, Windfinders, Wise Ones, and some surprising others. And above all, Rand faces the dread Forsaken Sammael, in the shadows of Shadar Logoth, where the blood-hungry mist, Mashadar, waits for prey.

Left me torn
May 21st, 2015
Up to a point this had my attention and enjoyment. However when a disturbing event brings one of the main characters down a peg or two and several other characters make light of what happened as just desserts for him I felt a little put off. Definitely left me disliking several characters I hadn't expected to dislike

Quite satisfying

I had heard that the later books dragged on, but this was not the case for me. I enjoyed the political backstory and insight into a wider range of characters. Highly recommend!

The wheel of time series is riveting. So many subplots. Hard to put down.
