Woman in the Photograph
Sixteen years ago, June was abandoned on the door of a fire hall. Her mother placed her there. Then vanished. Disappeared. The only evidence of June’s mother was a photograph taken by a surveillance camera as she walked away.
Now a teenager, June is on the run.
She follows breadcrumbs her mother left behind. An apartment she once lived in. Bills left unpaid. Pieces of her life she abandoned, the same way she abandoned June on that stairwell.
But now the police are closing in. June has only hours – maybe minutes – until her chance of discovering the one thing she really wants to know is gone.
All she has to do is find the woman that never wanted to know her.
