Book three in the New York Times and USA Today bestselling Rose Gardner Mystery series.

Life in Henryetta, Arkansas is turned upside down with the arrival of a televangelist, but it’s the death of a little old lady on Rose’s street that catches her attention. The Henryetta police deem her death natural causes, but Rose suspects foul play and so does an unlikely supporter– the president of the Busy Body Club, her eighty-two year old neighbor Mildred.

But Rose is in the middle of opening her nursery with her sister Violet, who’s separated from her husband Mike, as well as stalling her boyfriend Joe’s family, rich socialites who are determined to meet her. Along with her multiple encounters with Fenton County’s new assistant DA, Mason Deveraux III, it’s just another day in the life of Rose Gardner– chaos.

I have loved these books from start to finish. I was a late starter, but have caught up quickly! Being a romantic, that is what caught my eye on the first book, but the great writing, and a story with substance has kept me coming back for more. I truly am holding my breath to read the next book, I hope I can exhale soon! Will it be Joe or Mason? Who is to know, I would be happy with either to make Rose happy. Speaking of Rose, she is a great character - sassy! Love that she is growing up at 24. Can't wait to hear more about it. Thank you Denise for a fantastic read, my house work is suffering, but I am happy.

I really loved this series of book, they always keep you on the edge of your seat. The writer did well to express as much emotion as possible. We really got to know the real person side of all the characters in the book. Totally buying the next one.
