Synopsis

Twenty-six-year-old Rose Devlin may shop in the plus-size department, but she’s never had a problem attracting men—with disastrous consequences. Recovering from her latest mistake, Rose has sworn off casual sex and moved to California to grow up, help her best friend, and make something of herself.

When Rose asks the cute-but-geeky guy next door to help her land a job in high tech, she never expects to unearth his quiet strength, stunning accomplishments—and hidden talents.

With a secret in her own past, Rose tries to keep her distance, but she finds that nerdy Mark isn’t so nerdy when the lights go out. And that maybe, just maybe, she’s not too grown up to risk one more disaster…

Note: Contains graphic sex scenes.

Perfectly Contemporary, Perfectly Funny

A lovely read. Engaging characters and nobody taking themselves too seriously. Definitely feels very modern, the characters (in light hearted romance fashion) brush over life and work in post GFC America. Though that doesn't impede the effortless millions every tosses around in every romcom. This book definitely reads in a very visual way all beautiful sets and well described costumes.

Loved this book

I really enjoyed this book. Yes, it is a light hearted romance, but so funny and the characters are so lovable I had to read the book twice just because I didn't want them to go away. Mark, the main male character is so endearing you just wish he were real. And Rose, the main female character, is just plain funny and actually realistic. I just loved this book.

Always a winner

Love the witty sharp writing style that Gretchen Galway has endeared herself to me with. Told in first person you really feel like you are part of the story. Laugh, cry and cringe with the highs and lows that the characters experience. Gretchen is now an author I will happily seek out!

This book started out with some promise but became slow towards the end. Passed some time but I was disappointed with the finish.
