Rhiannon Frater's As the World Dies trilogy is an internet sensation. The first two books, The First Days and Fighting to Survive, have won the Dead Letter Award for Best Novel from Mail Order Zombie. The First Days was named one of the Best Zombie Books of the Decade by the Harrisburg Book Examiner. AmericanHorrorBlog calls Rhiannon Frater "a writer to watch."

The morning that the world ends, Katie is getting ready for court and housewife Jenni is taking care of her family. Less than two hours later, they are fleeing for their lives from a zombie horde.

Thrown together by circumstance, Jenni and Katie become a powerful zombie-killing partnership, mowing down zombies as they rescue Jenni's stepson, Jason, from an infected campground.

They find sanctuary in a tiny, roughly fortified Texas town. There Jenni and Katie find they are both attracted to Travis, leader of the survivors; and the refugees must slaughter people they know, who have returned in zombie form.

Fast-paced and exciting, filled with characters who grab your heart, The First Days: As the World Dies is the beginning of a frightening trilogy.

Storyline is good, writing is just okay. Characters overall are shallow and underdeveloped. I want to know what happens, but don't care a lot about these characters.

Oh my gosh now this is a novel I always looked for. A must read for book lovers of all genres. Real creepy at first but I loved it. Read the complete series as well as the untold stories and would read again as well.

Days of Our Unlife!

Start off great, loses traction in the 6th chapter, gets soapy mid way...I started wishing death on the main protagonists. ( .__.) If you're an avid reader of zombie books, this one SHOULD missed..seriously! What a waste of money.

Awful! A waste of money
November 28th, 2013
I love the zombie genre. I read everything I can get my hands on. This novel was awful. The writing was amateurish and the story is repetitive. And who writes a zombie romance? The living dead have taken over and all these women can think about are men. Stupid. Stupid.stupid. Don't waste your money.

My Favorite Trilogy!
March 14th, 2013
I'd never read a zombie book until I picked this book out at the library. This book is incredible! Packed full of action and surprise. This book had me excited to read it when I was busy with other things; like working. I stayed up late night after night reading the entire series. I was incredibly sad when I finished reading the last book, for the story was over.
