    Effective

Gave good advice. I found repeating of message a bit of a struggle, but then again, book was trying to reprogram a thought pattern, so was effective in this. I'm yet to implement fully (no explosions lately!) but prelim work with my daughter is already having a positive effect. Worth reading!

    New philosophy, hopefully useful

The new philosophy introduced in this book and the parenting school based on it seems really logical and hopefully useful. I've followed the CPS school in a way without knowing about it and I think it was really effective with my kids more than anything else.
