Editorial Reviews:

"The Common Lawyer is about an overpowering need to right a shocking wrong, and it contains violence, romance and some heart-warmingly managed ethical dilemmas . . . The pace is perfect; the style clean and transparent; the emotional manipulation, effective; and you can see the film from here. It will entertain many people."
- Times Literary Supplement (UK)

"Mark Gimenez writes colloquially smart dialogue but plots like an old master."
- The Australian

"The Common Lawyer is an addictive, compulsive read. With an interesting, flawed protagonist who matures as the novel progresses, a cast of well-drawn and diverse characters, and a great plot (not to mention the unexpected twist at the end), this is a must-read novel. Highly recommended, The Common Lawyer will keep you reading into the night."

    the common lawyer

M G did it again for me. It is a fun and exciting read. Very entertaining and holds your attention. Makes a C student a real hero where it counts with people who count. How could that storyline not be a good read? Way to go Gimenez!

    The common lawyer

Book started out slow but then picked up at a fast pace! Since I am not familiar with Austin I found the chase episodes to be too detailed constantly Naming all the streets. Otherwise the plot was very different and definitely very suspenseful.

    Fast moving

Slow start, picks up gradually. Once in to the book the plot thickens and action picks up. The characters are well defined with a definite sub plot keeping mystery alive. The ending is not expected but is welcome. Well written and fast paced.

    The Common Lawyer

This book was cheesy but a good cheesy! A very light read with some good humor. It was the second book of Mark's that I have read...I will continue reading his books.
