Synopsis

On top of spending most of her time in a bunkerlike safe house and having her dates hijacked by a formidable Fae bodyguard, Faeriewalker Dana Hathaway is in for some more bad news: the Erlking and his pack of murderous minions known as the Wild Hunt have descended upon Avalon. With his homicidal appetite and immortal powers, the Erlking has long been the nightmare of the Fae realm. A fragile treaty with the Faerie Queen, sealed with a mysterious spell, is the one thing that keeps him from hunting unchecked in Avalon, the only place on Earth where humans and Fae live together. Which means Dana's in trouble, since it's common knowledge that the Faerie Queen wants her – and her rare Faeriewalker powers – dead. The smoldering, sexy Erlking's got his sights set on Dana, but does he only seek to kill her, or does he have something much darker in mind?

So this was a random book that I bought for $4 as a 'I have no more books' filler. I was waiting for the next book in a series that I was reading at the time (Wings - Aprilynne Pike). Not only is this a good book, is kind of seems like it's based on the same idea as the Wings series, with the faeries and stuff. Very interesting, but it is very hard to find the rest of the series in my area. I like to buy actual books even though I have an ereader, but I'm going to have to buy the ebook version to finish the rest of the series! This has a bit of romance in it, which is something that I seem to stick to when choosing books. I always look at the covers of books when choosing something new to read, and if it catches my eye I buy it. I know, I know 'Don't judge a book by its cover,' but it hasn't failed me yet. It's like the book is calling to me. The only issue with this book was that it took me less than a day to read; not long enough! Then not bing able to find the next book in the series sucked. A lot. 9/10 would read again.
