Synopsis

In this fast paced thriller, Iraq's top terrorist makes two promises - a kidnapped American contractor will be executed on a given date, his body dumped in Baghdad's Green Zone and a major attack will occur in seven days.

Working desperately to find the American and thwart the impending attack is an elite 4-man CIA team which includes an attractive female doctor. But they can only watch helplessly as the terrorist and his masked henchmen behead the American during a live video feed carried on the Internet.

What they don't know is that one of the masked men is not a terrorist, but completely innocent. He is an Iraqi pharmacist who has infiltrated the group. His only objective - to find his missing fiancée, who the terrorist has also kidnapped.

After the beheading, he is free to go. But little does he know that his fiancée will bring the deceased American's head to the Green Zone, and inside the dead man's mouth is evidence linking him to the terrorist.

This is a good read. Fast paced enough to keep the reader's interest but not too complicated a plot that it can't be read at night. Ideal for travelling.

Poorly written. Poorly paced. Cardboard characters. Predictable. Not worth your time. A few hours I will never recover.

Awesome book Opened my eyes to what our men and women are up against in the line of duty. And also what some of the men and women go through in their own country against their own military

The format of the story line that Sargent used kept me going... I couldn't put the book down! Enough accurate military terminology and action made it possible, while the characterization made it likeable. I can't wait to read the next in the series!

1. The story as a whole is attractive, close to john mcclean and Bruce Willis. 2. The introduction to the Green Zone by us marine is new. Not many have even slightest ideas about the existence of Marco Polo 5. That we know from news is limited. 3. The raid to the terrorist cell is a formula in most movies of the same kind, and perhaps the formula the anti terrorist teams execute the task! 4. Glimpses of lives of Iraqi people, with some of their minds and psychologies, if faked by Sargent then we Don not quite understand the heaven in their heads! 5. To add the climax and heroism, adman and ghaniyah, their family are just ordinary citizens, how coincident to be dragged into the actions can only be imaginable for some adventure seekers. Only stupid Americans do that. 6. Once more the up to date communication gadgets, internets, their around the world many ways online feeds is interesting!
