    Easy read

Not at all what I was expecting. Good twist, nice read. Kept me interested. Looking forward to the next book.

    misleading

Judging by the cover, I expected a serene, retrospective relationship between women of 2 vastly different generations - one who lived a long time ago, and the one who bought her house of secrets. Instead... Nazis, birds, relentless snappy dialogue, immature women who were supposedly in their mid 30s. Romantic hot mess with no style or substance.

    Surprisingly good

So, this felt to me a bit like a Secret Seven Mystery for adults. That sounds like a bad thing, but honestly it isn't! Refreshingly filled with strong and determined women, supportive of each other and a slow burn plot that suddenly twists at the end; I enjoyed this enough to buy the next in the series.

    Mark of the Loon

This book had good characters and a believable plot. Lots of twists and turns that kept you guessing til the end. An exciting read.
