Lycans, vampires, and cherubs... oh my.

All Evangeline Hollis wants is to stay out of trouble long enough to lose the Mark of Cain, which drafted her into hunting demons for God. A former agnostic, she's still recovering from being the latest point of contention between the two men in her life--Cain and Abel. Now she's working for a cherub who thinks putting her undercover as a housewife is the best way to rout out a rogue vampire hiding in an idyllic Orange County, California residential community.

Eve knows when she's being used as a pawn in the celestial political game. Now, she just has to figure out who's the greater threat: the vampire she's hunting, the cherub yanking her chain, or the two brothers vying to play the role of her spouse--'til death do them part. Which in her line of work, could happen any minute...

("Eve of Warfare" is a stand-alone novella, which falls after Eve of Chaos in the Marked series chronology.)

Includes bonus content: the opening chapter of Eve of Darkness

very disappointed

Clearly the author just wanted to quickly finish this series. Not worth the money. Very disappointed in a short ending to an otherwise good series.

I am soooo disapointed in this book I cant believe I paid money for this. I really enjoy sylvia day books. Ive read the three marked books and I loved them but this one was not worth my time and money I would not even give this one star.

Eve of Warfare
July 4th, 2013
This novella was cool to read because I had read the entire series first. The beginning of this novella picks up the story of Eve after the ending of the third book in the series "Eve of Chaos". It's cool to find out what came of the marriage proposal! So if you have read the series you should definitely read this little gem. It also gives the full story of "the dragon death incident" which was cool. I did think it was odd that that story was told after the marriage proposal story because the latter story when back in time when Eve had only been a mark 6 weeks. Still it was great to have those few small holes filled in and to get to see some true joy and wishes of Eve's come true in this novella! If you read this series and lived it you will love this novella and NEED to read this! It will be worth your while!

Eve of Warfare by S J Day

I enjoyed the book found it lacking at the end. Sylvia Day just leaves you hanging with no real idea as to whether the story will ever find a true ending. I'm very disappointed.
