    WWWWOOOOWWWW !!!!

Copy gifted in exchange for an honest review Embrace The Dark is just WOW! Caris Roane’s ability to create alternate worlds/realms/dimensions without make them sci-fi is amazing. The way she comes up with ways for characters to link, bond or mate is just unbelievable. She has this unique ability to hook you from start to finish and leave you wanting more, but not in a bad way. You can just feel everything the characters feel. How they come together. She has a way of presenting or describing different species without them seeming corny or cheesy. You truly believe these being could exist. I especially admire how she can describe a very sexual, maybe erotic love seen. Kudos to Caris Roane.

    Paranormal romance with a difference

Abigail and Gerrod are from 2 different worlds, separate realms, but are instantly drawn to each other. Mastyr vampire Gerrod of the Merhaine Realm, takes the responsibility of the well being of his people very seriously and he will not allow anything to distract him from his duties especially not a human girl and more especially when they all are under the constant threat of an Invictus attack. But when an innocent touch off-sets skills within Abigail that should be impossible for a human to access, questions arise. And some instinct within drives her to his side, begs him to feed from her and relive himself of the blood starvation common amongst mastyr vampires. Soon they are faced with dangers that no one anticipated, but Abigale just might be the answer to all of Gerrod's problems. This is a paranormal romance but with just a enough fiction to make it different from the rest. eARC provided in exchange for an honest review

    compassionate woman and strong man

This is a story full of world building, using mostly the leading characters, but some supporting characters as well, to give you a sense of an Earth with points of connection to the Realm, where Vampires, the Fae, and basically the mythical creatures we thought we made up really do exist. There are some phrases that are used in ways I simply never considered, like frequencies. WOW! Imagine if the person you truly love could FEEL it, pulsing from you, when they touch you, because you have a unique frequency, all your own, on which it travels, and they alone can tap into it! It's because of these unique concepts, and takes on phrases we are used to reading in different ways that I had to adjust how I was used to, for example, reading the word frequency, and the context in which I was used to hitting the word. Once I grabbed hold of how the author was using words, and concepts, I was totally taken in, and find myself wanting to explore these two places that both exist in the here and now... the Earth I am used to, and the Realm she has created atop and alongside it. I picked up the book when it was a free read on kindle... then got a copy in exchange for an honest review, and realized immediately it was one that had caught my interest back when I first read the description, the only thing that kept me from reading it immediately was too big a too be read stack. I've previously read Caris Roane's Men in Chains books, and there is significantly more world building here. :) If I could give this a 4.5 stars, I would... I always like to leave myself that little extra bit of room to be blown away... but this was a really fun read, and I loved having a leading lady who wasn't afraid to let her compassion and good heart show.
