Best Book Ever!
January 17th, 2015
I just finished reading Watchers for the fifth time since it was first published in 1987. This is Koontz's best story ever...even he agrees. Stop reading this review and start reading the story. You won't be sorry.

Love this book. Very thought provoking. I don't doubt for a minute that this isn't in some way true.

Before I started reading Koontz, having a canine companion was never important. Always a cat person. However, after reading so many of his novels and the dogs within I have become enamored with having a four legged friend that does more than fill a litter box and drive me nuts every minute. A dog with the abilities of "Einstein" would be something, but my heart and mind have been opened to the firm love and companionship offered by any dog if one has the same to offer in return.

I love Dean Koontz's writing style, he never fails to draw me into a story. This book is one of my absolute favourites. I have read it about 5 times over a space 30 years. The characters are life like and realistic, the DOG is awesome and has such a wonderful personality. The tale builds and builds until the thrilling climax. I laughed and cried throughout the story and felt I knew each individual portrayed. Just loved the dog and his people. The hybrid was sad, but deadly. Dean paints a portrait with his image provoking words, I get a vision in my head of people, places and other characters. Altogether a great, timeless classic. 5 stars Mr Koontz!
