Synopsis

When a cut-price franchise bakery opens its doors just down the street from Earthly Delights and crowds flock to purchase the bread, Corinna Chapman is understandably nervous. Meanwhile, the gorgeous Daniel’s old friend Georgiana Hope has temporarily set up residence in his house, and it doesn’t take Corinna long to work out that she’s tall, blond, gorgeous and up to something. Daniel is making excuses and Corinna is worried about his absences and also the strange outbreak of madness which seems to be centered on Lonsdale Street.

Another great read by Kerry Greenwood!
August 2nd, 2015
I became addicted to Kerry Greenwood's work after I stumbled upon her Phryne Fisher character. I was disappointed (as no doubt all readers were) when the series ended. (I am still waiting to hear what happened to Phryne). As a mystery writer myself, I appreciate the exquisite crafting Greenwood takes with her stories. In her modern day Melbourne series, her main character Corinna Chapman is a woman that other women would like to be friends with. Readers admire the character's tenacity, kindness and habit of coming to the aid of others (even when she really would rather just be reading a mystery novel with a gin and tonic in hand, up in her roof garden).
