Synopsis

Detective Madison Knight concluded the case of a strangled woman an isolated incident. But when another woman’s body is found in a park killed with the same line of neckties, she realizes they’re dealing with something more serious.

Despite mounting pressure from the Sergeant and Chief to close the case even if it means putting an innocent man behind bars, and a partner who is more interested in saving his marriage than stopping a potential serial killer, Madison may have to go it alone if there's not going to be another victim.

1st/last/only Madison K. Not just boring, but luke-warmed, L&O-ish characters/stories. Not 1 compelling character. Maddy should quit beating on her partner & friend. Grouchy Sgt. Publicity-conscious Chief. Medical examiner NOT Maura Iles/Scarpetta/Bones. Even the killer was as dull as cold oatmeal. Dialogue dull, dull, dull. Glad to get this behind me & hopefully out of my memory. Reichs/Cornwell/Perry/Grafton/Grimes, et al, have nothing to fear.

I'm glad this book was free. I would have felt cheated otherwise. This book is full of misspelled and miss used words. Many sections are confusing due to what seems to be missing words and/or phrases. There is no clear cut order of events. Many described actions on the part of the main character make her unlikable and seem, at best, sophomoric.

Unhappy Reader

I'm glad this book was free. I've never experienced such poor writing. Content of passages is jumbled. Words are misused and often misspelled. More than a few times words or whole passages seemed to be missing. I read the book in it's entirety. It did not get better.
