"A first-rate thrill ride."—Publishers Weekly, Starred Review

Ex-navy SEAL Rock Babineaux is as Cajun as they come—spicy, sexy, and more than a bit wicked. But would he actually betray his country? Even his best friends on the special-ops Black Knights team aren't sure they can trust him. Now the target of a massive manhunt, Rock knows the only way to protect the team—especially his partner, Vanessa—is to run...

Rock might think he can outmaneuver them all, but he hasn't counted on how stubborn Vanessa Cordero can be. And she refuses to cut him loose. Sure, her partner has his secrets, but there's no one in the world she'd rather have by her side in a tight spot. Which is good because she and Rock are about to get very tight...

larger than life

Once again the Black Knights take centre stage with danger, action, and all the heat one girl can handle. Walker’s fast paced narrative had me caught up in the intensity of the story, keeping me on my toes, trying to guess what would happen next. The uniqueness of the plot was fantastic, taking me on a completely unexpected journey. These characters definitely live hard and love harder. I love how couples from the previous novel(s) in the series walk their way into this novel. It gives a sense of continuity to the series as a whole, while giving me extra investment in each individual novel. Rock & Vanessa definitely made an intriguing couple in this novel. The differences in their personalities and personal histories served to highlight just how much they really did have in common. I loved the surprise twists in Vanessa & Rock’s relationship. The dynamics between them were never simple, and never turned out quite how I expected them to, but always worked for the characters. Thrill Ride is definitely a welcome addition to the BKI series. I loved getting to know the characters a little better, while finding out even more about who the Black Knights are and what they do. I’d definitely recommend this novel to those who enjoy a fast paced, suspenseful romance with larger than life characters.

Wow this book was awesome, can't wait for Born Wild now. I love this motorcycle riding elite ops group. Rock made me cry everytime he pushed Vanessa away. What really shocked me was who actually put out his burn & delete!

This was the worst story out of this whole series. I wish the CIA had of shot Van in the treehouse, she drove me nuts the whole story. I ended up skipping pages she was in. I fell she shouldn't be a part of BKI, she doesn't fit. And all she does it cry, nope she doesn't belong. The thing in love about the book, is all the members work together. Having more then 4 characters always helps and the members of the team work so well today. They bring out the best in each other and is shows. If Julie writes anymore for this series I hope she leaves out Van. And adds more of Ghost, Steady, Ozzie, and maybe even Angel!
