The book is about how Satan seeks to destroy Jesus to qualify as a Messiah by tempting him in the wilderness. The temptation of Jesus is not only to show the craftiness of Satan, but also his desperation for Jesus to fail in order to reverse the curse to him and promise to Eve from God in the Garden of Eden in Genesis chapter 3, verse 15. The temptation of Jesus also demonstrates how Satan uses God’s children to fight against God, how he hurts God by hurting his children, and how he tempts God’s children to worship himself by offering the temporal satisfaction, pleasure and glory from this world at the price of their enteral souls.
