Synopsis

Mandie Kauffman, a Mennonite gal in her early twenties, has always enjoyed helping her parents run the large family business, Kauffmans’ Groceries and Goods, on the outskirts of Mapletown, PA. She’s engaged to Tobias Schmidt, a handsome young Mennonite man also neck deep in his father’s feed mill business. After their wedding just two months away, the couple expects to assume the responsibility of both businesses, a task that Mandie anticipates with open arms.
However, as the wedding day draws near, Tobias feels God’s calling to be a missionary in Brazil. Mandie knows what this change in Tobias’s plans means. She’s devastated and is torn between the two choices: marry Tobias, leave her family and business, and go with him to Brazil or call off the wedding and stay home to run her family’s store.
What should Mandie do?
