Synopsis

A serial murderer known only by a grotesquely apt nickname--Buffalo Bill--is stalking women. He has a purpose, but no one can fathom it, for the bodies are discovered in different states. Clarice Starling, a young trainee at the FBI Academy, is surprised to be summoned by Jack Crawford, chief of the Bureau's Behavioral Science section. Her assignment: to interview Dr. Hannibal Lecter--Hannibal the Cannibal--who is kept under close watch in the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane.

Dr. Lecter is a former psychiatrist with a grisly history, unusual tastes, and an intense curiosity about the darker corners of the mind. His intimate understanding of the killer and of Clarice herself form the core of Thomas Harris' The Silence of the Lambs--and ingenious, masterfully written book and an unforgettable classic of suspense fiction.

Great book bad edition
November 2nd, 2014
This edition has the most typos and transcription errors I have ever seen. Distracts from a fine book.

Needs an edit
April 19th, 2014
I have only read the first three chapters and already I want a refund. Whomever put this book into digital copy was very sloppy and has made an incredible number of mistakes that are making this book very difficult to read. Somebody needs to clean up this mess. That said, do not take this as a review of the book, the story, or the author. I have not finished reading it yet. This is simply a warning that you may want to find a different digital version as this one is in desperate need of a thorough edit.

Silence of the lambs - a terribly edited edition
May 7th, 2013
This is an excellent book which is marred badly by unbelievably bad editing in this version. It is filled with bizarre breaks in paragraphs and has almost an average of one spelling error per couple pages I'd estimate. It is entirely disruptive to getting into the book.
