I read this book on recommendation from several friends who directed me to it when I asked for suggestions of a good read. I wasn't sure what to think as the main character's experience in the woods began to unfold but then I was swept away and moved by it all. To me, this book is truly unique and worth the read; it opened and touched my heart in ways I didn't expect.

Excellent book, very thought provoking and reflective. I highly recommend it for anyone who is seeking "why" answers when it comes to God and the Trinity.

This book was inspiring, eye opening, heartfelt, and just plain phenomenal. I have recommended this book to many of my friends and family. To feel truly close to GOD and have a better understanding of all he is capable of and the amount of Love he has for us this is the one to read!

This book is very much outside my comfort zone, I am not a deeply religious person, I have a belief but do not openly practice but thought I would give this book a try as it just stood out to me on a second hand book shelf one day. I must warn you, this is not a large book but it is by no means an easy read. I found that I read a bit at a time, taking breaks to digest it. There is much to be thought about, it challenges your perceptions and your traditional beliefs. No worries, it doesn't challenge your BELIEVING just makes you consider it from a different angle and in some ways it may affirm and just "answer" some of the mystery. At one point he tells God/Jesus (sorry I can't remember which) that there is times when he is following what HE is saying and then all of a sudden his brain goes to mush and he needs to stop as the understanding begins to drift just out of his reach becoming harder to grasp. That is EXACTLY how I felt at times reading it....I would be having an AHAH moment and relishing it, seeing the perspective and then I would read another item and POOF I lost my grasp....but all in a good way. i believe that everyone should give this book a try, it is a great mental workout with a great exploration of your beliefs; it is also a valuable tool for someone that is struggling with a loss. Take some time and experience the journey! good Luck!
