Too much had to be folded into too few words here. This is an interesting story and deserves expansion.

A fast and engaging read
August 19th, 2013
The book is a short one, yet it manages to make the reader thirst for more. It carries with it Zafon's eclectic writing style and verbosity, creating vivid imagery in the readers' minds. The pacing is good and the opening is interesting. However, the book leaves the readers with even more questions, and it does not quite explain several instances. If you are looking for a fast and engaging read, this book is for you. But if you are looking for answers, you will not find them within these pages.

I have read two other books from the series and loved it,have the third one which I will start today. This excerpt didn't impress me much like the previous books of the author, still I hope the book would be good.

It wasn't what I thought it would be
May 6th, 2013
I was thinking it would be historical fiction. Instead it was a fantasy tale about a dragon and mysticism. I'd hoped for something deeper.

A lovely intro to the labyrinth
January 19th, 2013
This was a delightful short story introduction to Carlos Ruiz Zafon's other novels about the Cemetery of Forgotten Books. It makes me want to reread all three novels now that I know how everything started!
