Oswald Garrison Villard (March 13, 1872October 1, 1949) was an American journalist. Villard graduated from Harvard University in 1893. In 1894, he began to write regularly for the New York Evening Post and The Nation. The Negro in the Regular Army is an essay of Villards describing African American soldiers contribution to the United States Military.
