Thomas Morton Harper, S.J. (1821- 1893) was an English Jesuit priest, theologian, and author on many topics including metaphysics. Metaphysics seeks to explain the fundamental nature and state of the world, attempting to answer such questions as What is the nature of being and existence?, What is the nature of God?, and Does free will exist?. The Metaphysics of the School by Harper is an expansive treatise of the subject, covering three books, all of which are included in this version.
