Synopsis

The Last Killiney, the first book in The Ravenna Evans Series.

On holiday in England, Ravenna Evans begins to recall her past life as an eighteenth-century Irish viscount’s lover. When she is swept back in time to relive this affair (along with Lord Killiney’s very unwilling modern counterpart), she learns that living in the past isn’t all fun and games, and that history can’t always be changed to one’s liking.

Did not like the title

The book was excellent. Really exciting in parts. But, a little slow to go in others. Almost making you wonder what some of the characters were needed for. But it was a good read. Thank you.

I love this book I have read it countless times. It is captivating and inspiring. It will take you to the darkest depths of your soul but make you smile like a fool. It is so easy to get caught up in the book, I just wish the sequels were free as well. One of the greatest novels I have read in well.. forever.

Amazing read

This book captured me from the beginning. It also took me for a wild ride and it didn't go anywhere I thought it would in the beginning. I was always thinking the story was going one way an it would flip it up on me. It also had the wonderful aspects of a good read, betrayal, love, fights, and even time travel.

I selected this on a whim, with low expectations but I was surprised! Hard to put down. I rarely read a the same book twice within a year but I just had to go back in time again!

This is the BEST romance I have ever read! Literally could not the book down, I had to see what was going to happen next! This story is soulful, exciting, enticing, and seductive! The story line flows well, and leaves the reader questioning what is going to happen next! This is an easy read, and perfect for anyone looking for an adventure, anyone looking for a touch of romance, for history buffs, and for anyone looking for a book they don't want to put down!

Plot is better than the writing
September 11th, 2013
The reason I kept reading this book was for the plot. It was different, confusing and engaging enough for me to overlook the faults. I cringed at the writing style and inconsistencies I discovered in characters and the authors voice. I'm a sucker for historical fiction, and would recommend for anyone looking for the genre with a twist.

Tedious
August 10th, 2013
This book is tough to read. It goes on and on. Things are left unfinished while other details are obsessed upon. Jame's love for Ravenna seems beyond brotherly. Needs a good edit and maybe a rewrite.

The Last Killiny

A strange book, drifting between the 18th and 20th centuries. The cast are very passionate, but the settings are not delivered in sufficient detail to convince the reader of their reality.
