I love the way Kate Morton writes. I have read all her books and will eagerly await her next novel. The Forgotten Garden is set in the 20s and told through the eyes of Grace, a housemaid. It flits between Grace now at the age of 90 and herself as a teenager working in the big house. Keeps you gripped all the way through. The Forgotten Garden is well-written and pans out beautifully. It tells the story of a little girl who was found abandoned in 1913. Nell is now an elderly lady and goes back to the Blackhurst Manor estate. She dies leaving a cottage to her grandaughter. Cassandra travels to the estate and uncovers the truth about Nell's past.
