Synopsis

"Submerged is romantic suspense that will keep you up at night!"
--Bestselling Author Dee Henderson

A sabotaged plane. Two dead deep-water divers.

Yancey, Alaska was a quiet town...until the truth of what was hidden in the depths off the coast began to appear.

Bailey Craig vowed never to set foot in Yancey again. She has a past, and a reputation--and Yancey's a small town. She's returned to bury a loved one killed in the plane crash and is determined not to stay even an hour more than necessary. But then dark evidence emerges and Bailey's own expertise becomes invaluable for the case.

Cole McKenna can handle the deep-sea dives and helping the police recover evidence. He can even handle the fact that a murderer has settled in his town and doesn't appear to be moving on. But dealing with the reality of Bailey's reappearance is a tougher challenge. She broke his heart, but she is not the same girl who left Yancey. He let her down, but he's not the same guy she left behind. Can they move beyond the hurts of their pasts and find a future together?

Great Christian suspense!

I really enjoyed this book! It is the first book in the Alaskan Courage series. So in this book, the McKenna family is introduces. They are a great family; they own a diving shop in Yancey, Alaska and help on rescue missions. This first book in the series is centered around Cole, the oldest of the five siblings. When the plane on which her aunt was crashes, Bailey, Cole's first love, returns to Yancey. She only plans on staying a week for the funerals and selling her aunt's Russian antiques shop. But when a body is discovered, Bailey seems to be the only one who can actually help resolve the mystery surrounding the death. This book is a perfect mix of suspense and romance. I love how the relationship between Cole and Bailey evolves and how even if the book is centered around Cole's story we still get to know his siblings. I would recommend this book to everyone who likes suspense novels. And if you're new to the series make sure to read this one first because it really introduces all the characters and Piper's story (second novel).
