Synopsis

Matilda grew up Amish in western Maryland. She was married in the Amish church. But after six good years of marriage, something began to go wrong. This is the heart rending story of one woman’s walk that is repeated a thousand times over in America and around the world. This was never a part of her plans or expectations. But it happened; her husband of many years left her and their children. He also sold the farm and took the money too. Matilda tells her story without malice and bitterness. How is that possible? How could she cope? How could she survive? It is possible, but not alone, for God heard her cry. She tells her story with hope that other women who find themselves similarly alone and shattered could find peace and ministry that brings healing to the soul.
