Rainbow Road

I started Rainbow Road yesterday and like its predecessor Rainbow High I had trouble stopping At 1:30 a.m. I finally had to close the book to get some sleep as I had to be up in the morning. I finished it tonight and again it is another excellent read from Alex Sanchez. Jason’s coming out to his team raised the awareness of the local media in Rainbow High, now the news has spread and he has been invited to speak at the opening of Harry Hay School in Los Angeles. The boys manage to convince the school to send the money for Jason’s airfare to them so that they can all drive cross country to support Jason. Kyle and Jason have only been together as a couple for a brief time, will they be able to survive being together 24/7 in a car and tent from Virginia to LA. Next to this is that they will be in Nelson’s car with Nelson. Will Jason be able to stand being with Nelson and his way out presence for the trip or will they kill each other. Crossing the country brings some major realizations to the boys as they grow to know each other better and encounter a variety of people who in their own way help them on their journey of growth and discovery.

Was truly an amazing read. The way the story was narrated and the richness of the characters made me love them.
