Synopsis

These original poems were written as a result of love for the Psalms and a love of poetry. They give an overview, intended to aid in remembering the basic content of each Psalm. For the most part they were written from the perspective of personal application, rather than prophetic or historical application. There are several references to Christ (by name) and His salvation, (such as in Psalm 19, 2nd stanza; Psalm 22, 6th stanza) as well as a few references to New Testament verses (such as Pslam 90, 3rd stanza; Psalm 133, 2nd stanza.) - Elizabeth Cary Bishop
