Adopting characters from Jane Austen's much loved tale, this novel takes Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy on a much different journey than Pride and Prejudice.

Through their fathers' friendship, Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy meet as children. Over the years, their feelings for each other grow and they promise themselves to each other, but unfortunate circumstances and interfering family members seek to keep them apart.

Will misunderstandings and mistaken impressions divide Elizabeth and William forever?

For slow pace and a lot of dialogue lovers

You could read this, exchange Elizabeth's name for "Sherlock", her gender to male and William's name to "John" and you'd basically have a BBC's Sherlock fanfic.

Great P&P variation

I loved reading this book !! Wendi Sotis took the most beloved characters from Jane Austins P&P and made it her own without changing the characters to much I enjoyed this authors version of Lizzy and Darcy...they still have their troubles and turbulations in the quest for Love....but the relathionship they develop is very strong. I loved the fact that Elizabeth and Darcy meet each other when they are young and develop a friendship through the years. I also enjoyed George Darcy being alive for a small part of the book and the relationship he has with Mr.Bennet Mr.Wickham is mentioned and does some evil but he isn't one of the main characters and his character isn't developed to much in this book...this I found refreshing. Don't want to give to much away but it's a Great Read...I totally recommend this book!
