Synopsis

Dawn Anita Diffie, a 16-year old country girl from Oklahoma, runs away to marry her sweetheart, Jerry Plumlee, and narrowly escapes the hands of 2 would-be abductors. They journey to an isolated cabin in Idaho and back to a remote ranch in Oklahoma. Their adventurous spirit takes them back to Idaho with their 2-week old son, and they become stranded in Idaho with no money, food or shelter. They return to Oklahoma where she seeks a country music career but turns down a recording contract with RCA in favor of staying home with their children. They finally take the leap of faith and move to Nashville only to learn that Music City welcomes a 40-year-old female with closed minds and a cold heart. At the age of 50, they ride horses from Oklahoma to Nashville. Along the way they are amazed to find total strangers who open their hearts, their homes and their pocketbooks to help them and discover the journey allows them one more last chance to feel whole again.
