Synopsis

In the winter of 1891, ex-soldier Virgil Dean, broken by life, leads a solitary, nomadic existence with only a bottle of whiskey for company. One night a young stranger appears in the shadows beyond Virgil's camp. Virgil believes the man simply wants to share the warmth of the fire, but guilt and sorrow call more than just men out of the dark, lonely night.
